Trust & Safety FAQs

What is the need for any rules on the platform?

To create a healthy learning environment and to prevent any personal harassment, infringements, and theft of money, the rules and regulations are important.

These rules and regulations help to maintain decorum on the platform and ensure the right behavior by instructors and students.

If a strike activity is reported against my account, how will be system inform me about that?

In this case, you will be intimated by an email from policy@mwcedu.com about any strike that has been done against your account. The email will also contain information about the further process of action and repercussions that may arise due to repeated strikes.

We give the sole right to the instructor to ask questions from the platform and get justification for every action. At MWCedu, we are always available to help you in clarifying your doubts.

In case needed, you will also be able to connect with someone from our team, via a phone call or a video call for better understanding.

After a strike has been put up against your account, you will be disabled from the use of certain features on your account. On every attempt of yours to use that particular feature, you will be notified that your account has been struck and certain features have been disabled due to the policy violation of the platform.

What do I do if my co-instructor receives a strike?

In such cases, every course which has a co-instructor involved in it will be disabled and affected. All the affected courses will be disabled by the platform till the time any justification about the strike is received.

If my co-instructor has a strike, and I remove him/her from the course, what will happen then?

If you remove your co-instructor from your courses, the disabled forces will return to normal and will be available for usage by students.

All the disabled features will also be enabled and the account will return to its normal state.

What is the validity period of strikes?

On a general basis, the strikes are re-evaluated after  6 months.

What are the rules followed to catch violators at MWCedu?

The primary rule for catching violations and inappropriate behavior on the platform comes from the feedback and reports submitted to us by the students and instructors on MWCedu.

The flag abuses are reported by the users and the site is monitored by the team behind the scenes, for identifying violations and disruptions in policies.

Does the strike parameter remain 0-4 for every instructor, or does it depend on some other factors as well?

In general cases, the strikes will escalate linearly after the incidence of a warning, which will jump to three strikes.

More than three strikes on the account will lead to suspension of your account from the MWCedu platform and the repercussions will be severe to handle.
